State Retirement -- Actuarial Report

The actuarial data behind my previous post on Utah's retirement system can be found here.

Could you be more specific about which area your figures came from?

This is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I hope this was not your intent Sen. Urquhart.

Specifically where are these figures to be found in the link you provided.

Over the next 25 years, Utah has a $6.5 billion unfunded liability in its retirement system. Above current expenditures, it will take another $400 million/year to cover that gap (and another compounding 4% annual rate of interest -- which is big, given the numbers we're talking about).

Thanks

JBT,

Sorry. I thought I linked to exact doc, but it seems I can't do that. Click on "Related Materials" for Thur, Nov 12 meeting. Then, click on link for "Information requested by committee for Nov. 12 meeting."
