Say "Yes!"

The Utah Democratic Party is starting a new campaign: Say "Yes!"

I love it! Let's shout this from the rooftops for at least the next 4 months.

Say "Yes!" Vote "Yes!"

Yes! Yes! Yes! That's the word we love!

First, we'll say "Yes!" to vouchers, so that ALL children can have equal educational options. Then, we'll say "Yes!" to differential pay, so that we'll have teachers for math and science classes and so that the best teachers will be willing to teach in Title I schools. Then, we'll say "Yes!" to merit pay, so that the best teachers will be rewarded for the extra efforts.

We'll say "Yes!" to accountability, "Yes!" to opportunity, and "Yes!" to success!

YOU will say yes to accountability?!? Your voucher bill belies that statement. You put together probably the LEAST accountable voucher bill ever and you know it. Please amend your statement.

Transitions are difficult. But stick with me here. We're now saying "Yes!"

"Yes!" to ridiculously simplistic messages being co-opted.

"Yes!" to parents holding schools accountable.

Let's not hedge on the thing. It's simply "Yes!"

"Say Yes..." to firing legislators who brought this voucher curse upon us!

But, you'll still have your diving career.

Rob,

I'm just waiting for someone to compare my legislative career to my diving career. I gave you a pretty good opening.

Mom,

Right on!

Kick a man while he's down. Leave the poor Demos alone. Utah isn't exactly too friendly a place for them to begin with.

And say "Yes!" to forming a new school district in Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Sandy, Draper and Alta.

That is if the County Council and Mayor Coroon allows the public to vote.

There's a reason for that.

SOS,

Pretty lame pic, huh? The problem is, every picture I take, for some reason, makes me look like I weigh 250 pounds and have 3 or 4 chins. I figure, why bother?

My wife and I were reading the comments together, and we had a pretty hard laugh about your wildfires and bears comments on the global warming post.

Jess,

It's "Yes!" -- as in rhymes with Jess.

I'm looking forward to getting into the voucher debate in earnest when summer is over and people get back to their routines and start focusing on the election.

If you or anyone has ideas on a forum of format for having debates and discussions, I'd love to hear them.
